to Provide Link Data for the DIYSEO Platform and New SEO Report Card Tool

DIYSEO integrates SEOmoz's Linkscape to get small businesses ranked in search engines.

Chicago November 3, 2010 -- DIYSEO, a provider of web-based search engine optimization (SEO) software for small businesses, today announced a partnership with SEOmoz’s Linkscape. This partnership will power the DIYSEO platform with backlink data for all its small business customers. The partnership enables DIYSEO to help small businesses easily complete link building tactics and ultimately increase their rankings and overall visibility within search engines.
Since launching in April 2010, DIYSEO has focused on providing an easy way for small businesses to do SEO while also being the lowest cost SEO solution in the market. Through this partnership and others, DIYSEO utilizes the same data that is used by Fortune 500 companies but in a way that is cost effective and simplified for the small business owner.

“We are extremely excited to announce this integration and work closely with SEOmoz,” said DIYSEO CEO Dan Olson. “DIYSEO is very passionate about bringing a powerful, low-cost SEO solution to as many small businesses as possible, and this partnership allows us to take another step in that direction.”

The number of quality backlinks to a website is a significant factor for search engines to determine search engine rankings. If many different sites link to a website, this is an indication of a site’s popularity and importance. Linkscape powers popular tools, such as SEOmoz's Open Site Explorer, and has indexed more than 450 billion links from 50 billion pages across 290 million domains. By leveraging this data source, DIYSEO can provide metrics to small businesses that indicate how many backlinks they are currently getting compared to their competitors. This data also presents many link building opportunities for DIYSEO customers that will ultimately help clients get top rankings in search engines.

“Partnering with DIYSEO to provide data is a remarkable opportunity to help put powerful, actionable information in the hands of small business marketers everywhere,” said Rand Fishkin, CEO and Co-Founder of SEOmoz. “We're incredibly passionate about making SEO accessible to everyone, and this partnership helps make that happen.”

This update to the DIYSEO service is immediately available for all current customers and for the new subscribers that take advantage of DIYSEO’s seven-day free trial.

In addition, DIYSEO unveiled their SEO Report Card, a free tool that grades small business websites on a set criteria of SEO success factors. The Report Card also compares the website with selected competitors to better understand the site’s strengths and weaknesses. Similar to the DIYSEO application, the SEO Report Card is focused on providing insights in an accessible and simple format and making the world of search engine optimization much easier to understand.

“The SEO Report Card tool will help all websites, not just small businesses, view their current SEO state without costing them a nickel,” said DIYSEO Co-Founder Andy Hagans. “This is the only grader out there that presents an automatic, user friendly tool for SEO beginners.”

Interested small businesses can check out the new SEO Report Card or sign up for a free seven-day trial at DIYSEO.com.
