Web 2.0 is a term developed in the early part of 2004 to emphasize the Internet's expanded capability to interconnect marketplaces and direct business traffic by using different methods of optimization such as social marketing platforms, communication platforms, and content related pointers. In the old atmosphere of the Internet, businesses created websites but had no other way than word of mouth or hand to hand advertising to direct people to those sites.
