The search behemoth has officially announced an ongoing effort to switch to mobile-first indexing beginning at the end of March 2021, which gives business owners a little extra time to shore up their websites before these changes take effect—a slight cushion on their original estimated deadline of September 2020, and an extension that will certainly offer some relief to business owners already dealing with the curveball of COVID-19.
