If, however, a business isn’t entirely confident in its abilities, Cane advises seeking external talent.
“SEO is simpler than many people realize,” he said. “At the same time, it’s not something you can do with no background. It’s important to bring in people to fill any talent or knowledge gaps — otherwise your audit, no matter how comprehensive, will ultimately amount to a great deal of wasted effort.”
