Search Engine Workshops UK has been running SEO and web analytics classroom based courses for over five years at venues in Hampshire and Dorset. "Time has always been an issue with the classroom training," explained Sally Kavanagh of Search Engine Workshops UK. "There is a lot of material to cover in a one day SEO course and giving enough time for students to be able to practice the different skills presented has always been a problem."
The online course comprises different modules covering the different SEO skills, including keyword research, on page optimisation, the importance of links and how to build a healthy link profile, as well as usability and other factors that affect online search engine visibility.
On completion of each Module, the student then undertakes an Assignment in which they work on their own site to put into practice the material covered. This 'homework' is then discussed in the one to one online mentoring session. Every site is different and there are always different ways of approaching every SEO task so the mentoring sessions are used to explore any problems the student has had in completing their assignment as well as ways of developing the strategy further.
Full email support is provided throughout the course and ongoing support is provided for up to three months following successful completion of all modules.
Students have up to six months to complete the course, though many will choose to do so much more quickly. On completion, students will not have covered the range of SEO strategies available to promote a site, they will also have gained practical experience in implementing them - and on their own site.
Search Engine Workshops UK training is run by Atracks Ltd.
