One of the leading premium SEO plugins for Wordpress, SEOPressor, is going to offer free trial to users soon, aiming to increase their market penetration rate and reach their goal of reaching 500,000 downloads.
SEOPressor has been selling as a premium WordPress plugin since their inception in 2010. “Sales has been good so far,” reported Daniel, founder of SEOPressor. “However, we are trying to get the name out and let more WordPress users know we exist, so we decided to offer trial plan.” A search in Google for “SEOPressor” shows more than 1.3 million results, which is commendable.
Daniel further explained that they did a survey few months ago and realized that users wished to have a trial before they commit to purchase, as the price isn’t cheap. Currently, single and multi-site licenses are priced at $47 and $97 respectively. Nevertheless, compared to few competitors who are charging monthly fees like ScribeContent by CopyBlogger and a new funded startup, SquirrlyHQ, SEOPressor charges only a one-time fee.
“We’ve been self-funded since we launched 3 years ago. We try to keep our costs low while customer satisfaction high, which we believe are the most important area for a business to grow and it proves to be true. Revenues are reinvested and we are growing alright so far, with no issues in responding to market changes to lead the on-page SEO plugin space.” Daniel adds.
Leading bloggers like BasicBlogTips are using
SEOPressor to optimize their pages and making it a requirement for guest bloggers on the site to publish with a minimum required SEO score. In addition to on-page optimization analysis and guidance, SEOPressor also features Facebook OpenGraph tags, Twitter Cards and Dublin Core tags with intuitive user interface.
In 2012, SEOPressor received a community award from SitePoint.com as being one of the
top 10 premium WordPress plugins. It released the latest Version 5 early this year. The team has grown to 9 person and now serves 128,000 WordPress sites.
Trial will be for 14 days and it’s functional after the trial period with limited features. Trial will start within a week and it will be released on a pilot basis.
