When it comes to making money online through a web page, there are a wide variety of web sites with different graphics and copy with some being very detailed and some not. The important thing is that both generate cash. If you have a home based internet business and are interested in marketing and selling your product, but don't have a lot of money to invest in a fancy, professionally created Web site, then you should consider setting up minisites for your various products.
If you don't know anything about web page creation, this might sound a little intimidating to you. However, there really is nothing to worry about because setting up a minisite to market and sell your product does not require a lot of web page knowledge or experience and best of all it will not cost you very much.

The trend these days seems to be going global. While a few large companies already have global sites, some smaller companies are looking to other countries as well.
The problem with going global, however, is that if you begin to duplicate your content into other regions you could run into problems.
While translating from English to other languages isn't a problem, creating region specific sections for other English speaking countries can be. This is because you are essentially presenting English content that already exists.

I came across a very clever tactic by an article author the other day. I was reading one of his free reprint articles and when I finished it, I realized just how smart he really was. Not simply for the content of the article, which contained very timely and useful information, but for the way he managed to hook the reader in and possibly profit from them. Let me explain:
Like me and other article writers, this author circulates his articles to hundreds of article distribution lists on a regular basis. His articles contain a link back to his web site, which is an ideal way to boost his site's link popularity on the search engines. Like other authors, he writes about hot topics and current events in his particular industry. Like most article authors, he writes in a casual, relaxed style that engages the reader quickly and earns their trust. BUT, (here comes the clever part), unlike most article marketers, this author always divides his articles into two or more parts.

Get your ringside seats. The fight is about to begin. The flurry of announcements coming out of Google and Yahoo! recently show their preparations for the onslaught of MSN Search. And one of the most interesting was Google's announcement of another issue of 14.6 million shares, to give them an estimated $4 billion cash injection.
First, let's look at the recent Google announcements. Google Talk, the new IM application, is in beta now, which probably explains the current lack of advertising; don't expect an ad-free zone for long. A few days before the IM report, Google announced the new version of their desktop search appliance with new features, such as RSS integration and self-updating navigation. To top it off, The New York Times ran an article claiming Google is taking Microsoft's position as Silicon Valley's favorite villain. According to the article, Google's huge roster of engineering talent can do almost anything it puts its mind to, basically freezing start-ups in their tracks.

RSS appears to have conquered the last hurdle in becoming the industry syndication standard.
Microsoft's inclusion of RSS into the newest version of Internet Explorer and reports that RSS will be in Longhorn's coming release appears to be the final nail in the coffin of the Atom specification. Even Atom's steadfast supporter Google, appears to have seen the light. Google had previously acquired Blogger, a popular blogging tool that uses the Atom specification to syndicate the contents of blogs created on the Blogger platform. In the past Google had strategically steered clear of endorsing the RSS specification hoping that Atom, would take hold.
Google's recent new service that allows web surfers to monitor Google News using either RSS or Atom feeds, appears to be an acknowledgment that perhaps in purchasing Blogger, they chose the wrong specification.

A very important question arises in the early stages of development of a web site. What would be the most appropriate domain name? Domain names are representative of the address for a web site, and there is a rising trend of incidents of disputes over domain name registration with increased usage of the Internet.
There are numerous factors that have led to a crisis of domain registration disputes and this, in turn, has led to a rapid increase in the reported cases of infringement of domain names. Several companies have taken legal action against other companies or individuals over alleged copyright violation on the domain names.

RSS feeds have yet to hit the mainstream, but they are beginning to appear on prominent web sites including CNN, MSNBC, Yahoo, and even Google. While many sites are now publishing their own RSS feed, they fail to pursue the important step of promoting it.
RSS feeds have been growing steadily in popularity throughout the year. They have begun appearing on almost every news related source, and now even corporate web pages. While more businesses begin to cater to the opportunity of creating an RSS feed, many do not fully understand their exact usage. It is as if publishing an RSS feed will magically create traffic and pull constant visitors to their site. Maybe they believe the web search engine robots will pull and distribute the feeds. However, the truth is that most major search engines today do not yet incorporate RSS feeds into their main search engine results. They may completely skip over the RSS feed link when spidering a site. However, there is a world available that these new RSS users are not yet aware of. It is the world of RSS search engines.
